This sold out workshop run took place place Nov 13-16, 2025 at Culture Lab LIC as a culmination of our participation in the "Emergence Artist Residency Program".

Tiny Puppets in Tiny Rooms - Stratus

Step into the weird and wonderful world of tiny puppet shows! A miniature performance night tucked into the cozy corners of Purgatory’s downstairs bar. Each of the three side rooms will host a short, looping puppet show for small audiences to experience at their own pace. Think: shadow plays, toy theater, handmade oddities, and bite-sized storytelling for curious adults.
Stratus - a story from the CUMULO Canon - will be presented as one of the event's cozy corners featuring puppeteering by Emily Batsfored, Camille Cooper, and Takemi Kitamura.
In January 2025, CUMULO was featured in The Wild Project's Special Effects Festival.
Artist driven and oriented, the Special Effects Festival gather experimental performance works by practitioners exploring contemporary issues. Drawing on a network of over 8,000 artists, the festival samples the diversity and richness of the discipline of performance and presents an open forum for critical issues on the issues of the day.
In November 2024, CUMULO was featured in Concrete Theater's Concrete Boom Volume 3 as part of their three nights of cutting edge puppetry and visual theater.
Concrete Boom was launched in 2018 to advance the goal of increasing the quality and prevelance of theater works in NYC.
